The Blues Audience 15th Anniversary Party
And Fundraiser for the Devi Blue Foundation
!

We had a heck of a PAR-TAY with Great Groove Theory, Daniel Keene and Blues Express, James Montgomery Band, Chris Fitz, Professor Harp, Kenny Larsen, Ephraim Lowell,
Ed Vadas, Jim and Jeff Murphy and Sarah Aborn. I am sorry I don't have pictures of Jim and Jeff and Sarah, suffice it to say, they were MUCH appreciated jammers.

It was a blast. Everybody was dancing and the excitement was heard all around the country where I live. The Farmers were haying and whenever they stopped they could hear the music. People on the lake were wishing they were here (I don't know WHY they didn't come up!). We raised a some money in the silent auction thanks to Alligator Records, Sugar Ray Norcia, Carl Querfurth and The Love Dogs, Retro Music, Nancy Weston and Susan Michal, Aquarius Girl Jewelry (who also ran the auction) for donating silent auction items to benefit the Devi Blue Foundation. We had a nice cookout, a HUGE cake and it was all pretty much a success. Following photos by Diana Shonk and Betty Bishop.

My old friend Ed Vadas played an outstanding acoustic set.
The big surprize was that he showed up from Northampton
with his "new" daughter, Sue Burkhart.
He brags that she is a better guitar player than him- how is that possible?

T-Bone Walker shoulda been here! "Party Girl, Party Girl... why don't you stay at home..." I was at home...these girls weren't and they were having toooo much fun!

Harp had a great time talking to all the musicians and here he is kibitzing with Mike Michaels, guitar player and drummer (runs the jam in Worcester on Sat nights) and his friend Paul (who played trumpet in Widespread Depression, a great swing band, back in the 1970s!)
