JB's Blues News- Barreelhouse Productions 3/10/07:
Last night, March 10th, Shooting Star Entertainment and Promotions, launched the first in a series of Blues on Saturday Night shows at south of Boston venue, Shoemaker's Tavern. The award winning Chris Fitz Band debuted the Blues Series in explosive style. Shoemaker's, located on Route 18 in Whitman, was packed with people eager to hear the Blues delivered as only the Chris Fitz Band can. Chris captivated his audience and during the course of the night called on a few special guests to sit in. Singer/guitarist Bob K was in the audience and joined Chris's smokin' rhythm section, Bass player Greg Silva and Drummer Chuck Schuler, for some funky Blues tunes that had the place jumpin'. Later in the evening, Jill Sweeney of the band 3 South, joined Chris and company to deliver a soulful and sultry rendition of "Stormy Monday." The audience danced the night away right up to closing when Chris Fitz ended the evening with an explosive and dynamic finale.
